The nature of the seventh house is like that of the youngest daughter in a family: free-spirited, young at heart, full of hope and joy. It represents imagination and creativity, the senses and an appreciation of the arts, like music, dancing and painting. Anything that gives us pleasure - such as games, photographs, ornaments and prized possessions, carries the essence of Lake.
Lake energy is synonimous with metal and is associated with romance, the late afternoon sunsets of the west, the golden glow in the sky and harvest. It is the time when we reap our rewards.
- Do you have children? Do you want to have children?
- How creative are you? How do you express this creativity - in a social circle of friends, as an artist, musician or writer, through a business?
- Do you enjoy your free time?
- Do you have sufficient spare time?
Deep within each of us is a longing to create, to leave something of value behind when we go, and it is particularly important to women to express themselves and feel creative in some way. For many, then, this something will be our children, but any project or business is just as much a product of our creativity. You do not need to be accomplished in the arts, not do you have to write novels; it is enough simply to express your own unique inner voice without any fear of judgement - in whatever way is most appropriate for you. This could be cooking, arranging flowers or thinkering with cars. Holding Lake energy within can be damaging to your health, although problems in feeling creative or the ability to have children can also be linked to a deficiency in Elders.
If this area of your home is too full or crowded, creativity can become stifled - just like trying to think when your mind is overloaded. We need to discard the old ideas that lurk in our heads and clear out the physical clutter from our homes in order to allow creative energy to flourish.
When this part of a house is missing, children are likely to be absent as well. There will also be a lack of pleasure, creativity will be a problem, and younger women in particular will have less supportive energy. Corrections might include introducing metal energy (white, metal objects and curves) and, in addition, supporting that energy with soil (yellow, ceramics and soft items). A projection in this particular area is likely to produce a more creative, more sociable household, which has a greater ability to make things materialize and to collect assets. Bringing things to fruition is synonymous with autumn.
