I see some same types of lamps in the lamp catalogue but with different codes. What is the difference between them?
- Laminated lamps:
- Lamps with a same two-digits code number refer to a same model of lamp. Any "P" or "C" after the number explains the construction of the laminated woods; "P" means a parallel construction while "C" means centered construction. The last character (A, B, etc.) is to differ lamps of different sizes.
- TLC lamps:
- A two-digits code number is to differ lamp bases of different model, while the last "A" is reserved for future development on its size.
- TLP lamps:
- A two-digits code number refers to a specific lamp base model, while the last character (ie. A or B or C) is to differ lamp shade model.
Can we select a specific lamp shade for TLC lamps?
Yes, sure. We offer some different lamp shade models and fabric materials in order to enable you selecting the best lamp shade for your lamps. Please email us at

I am interested in the graphics on your TLP lamps. Is the choice so limited as the samples presented in your TLP catalogue?
Since December 2001, we have paper shades with the following graphics:

Endangered speciesAdditionally, we have in stock a collection of Japanese and Chinese calligraphy on various themes. We also have a long list of graphics on many other endangered animal species. Coming with its individual description on each of these endangered species, this graphic series is also function as an educational and promotional tool on the preservation of endangered species. As an example, below is a description on the above Imperial Parrot:
- Always considered scarce, the imperial parrot is now an endagered species, and is found only in the mountain rain forest of Dominica in the Leeward Islands. By 1992, only 80-120 population remained.
Definitely, it is indeed appropriate to light up children's rooms with TLP lamps that come with endangered species graphics!

The colour of the light in TLP-01-C is different to the others. Why is that?
It just to give you an idea that you may use any E27 bulbs to our TLP lamps. We use an energy-saving bulb to TLP-01-C, while we use ordinary incandescent bulbs to the others. Look, the lighting effect is different, isn't it?
What kind of wood do you use for the wooden lamps?
For laminated lamps we use teakwood and pine, while for TLP and TLC lamps we may use pine or damar wood.
Are they durable for use under any environmental climate?
All woods used for our lamps are properly kiln dried up to MC 12% maximum. This treatment will make the wood durable enough from any effects of climate and humidity level in your area.
What kind of finishing do you use on the woods?
We use nitro-cellulose (NC). This is a non-toxic type of finishing.
What is the final appearence of the finishing?
Our standard is matte, but you may order lamps with semi-gloss or gloss top coat.
You say matte finish but, why all lamps look a little glossy?
This is because the surface of all lamps is so smooth, a result of top quality finishing process. You will not notice any exposed grains, nor feel any "fine line" between the laminated wood.
Can we use any lamp bulbs with your lamps?
We use E27 Edison screw lamp holder; this is the most widely used bulb fitting in the world. Therefore, you may only attach bulbs with E27 Edison screw cap.
What if I need specific lamp holders such as those for B22 bulbs or for 3-way bulbs?
Basically we are able to supply them. However, since this is a custom order and we should import them, some minimum order and additional costs are required.
What kind of powercords do you use?
Our standard lamps come with a powercord that meet to European CE standard. It consists of European CE black-coloured flat wires with two round pins 2.5A/250V moulded plugs. A hand-fitted CE rocker switch of 3A/250V is attached to the wires.Can you supply lamps with powercords that meet specific international safety standards?
Yes, we are able to supply lamps with powercords that meeting American UL, Canadian CSA, British BS/ASTA, Australian SAA, Japanese Dentori, German VDE, and other European standards. However, since some of the powercords - except the European CE powercords - can't be purchased in small quantities, such request is considered as a custom order. The following conditions will be applied:
- minimum order quantity (MOQ): 250 pcs of lamps
- additional cost applied: between US$ 4.50 - 6.50 per-lamp, depending upon type of powercord requested
What about packaging?
For lamps with cone lamp shades, ie. the laminated lamps and TLC lamps, the packaging method is as follows:
- each lamp base into a single-wall carton box
- each 6 (six) boxed-bases into one double-wall master carton box
- 18 (eighteen) lamp shades into a double-wall carton box
while the TLP lamps come with more compact packaging method:
- each paper shade into a single-wall carton box
- each boxed-shade and its base into a single-wall outer box
- for quantity orders, each 9 (nine) boxed-lamps into a double-wall master carton box

Even if you buy only one TLP lamp from us, we are ready to ship this lamp directly to the recipient of your present; to any destination and shipping method of your choice.
