A few obsevations... - 
The shades are made from a single thickness sheet of paper with some double back tape on one edge. They are great for getting something up quick and easy, but not for long term unless you never plan to put them up and down much. The problem is that they don't gather up very easy after they have been hanging for awile. The shades can be cut to length with a sissors and a strong pair of hands which ensures a tight fit to your window frames. The things that trouble me a bit are : I'm concerned that the adhesive may stick to my wood window frames when I go to remove them. The shades tend to flatten out at the top due to weight of the shade itself and if you rest them in the lower sill they will eventually bag at the bottom and fall out. You can clip them to any length, but the clips are like clothes pins and you can see the handle part. They should have been more invisible IMHO. Finally, you need to pay attention to the edge that adhears to the window frame. It can be pleat in, or pleat out. I got one backwards from the others and it was a pain to remove and reposition.

These work great -
These work great in my daughters room. I put them right over the mini blinds, they were very easy to install, and they look nice too. I put them inside the window panes and left a little room on each side when I cut them to size. This allows a little light comes through the side but otherwise they work as blackout shades. Definitely worth the cost.
Black out eternity -
The Redi Shades were a great purchase, we live in an apartment facing the street lights and it fits between the white blinds we must keep up and the curtain nicely. The only problem was the shipping. The shipping company put one small piece of tape on one end and all my clips were lost in shipping.

Super easy to put up, they do a great job blocking out the sun; easy to cut, and if you cut them exact, no light will shine through. Sleeping during the day in a dark room is a breeze, and blocking out lights at night whether it's cars, homes, people, etc - is no issue anymore!

Great value -
The blinds are temporary so they're made from paper but they work well and I like that I was able to install them under existing blinds. We're using them in a nursery and they make the room as dark as night. Since six come in a box you can also have some on hand if you travel and want to darken a room for napping. I recommend them.
