The light is too white for those who are glare - sensitive; same light as in generic Verilux desk and pole lamps, which works fine when hooded, but does not create same effect as protoypical light box.

This light really works -
I moved to Seattle a few years ago and the dark and dreary winters were really starting to get to me. I received this light as a Christmas gift and I love it! I use it first thing in the morning when I get to work. I have more energy in the afternoon than I used to and am in a generally better mood.
