It's good -
Based on the images available we really weren't expecting an ultra high-quality lamp, it was just going to be a nightlight anyway. But when my son opened it and we set it up, it was actually more durable than we were expecting. So far it works fine and my son loves it.

Poor construction -
I bought this for my oldest son, who is a Pokemon lover. He has a Pokemon room, and I thought this would complete the look. I was very disappointed with the quality right out of the box. It's extremely ligh-weight, thin plastic contstruction makes it prone to breaking... which it did within the first few days. The thin plastic stem, is only glued to the top portion of the lamp. Given the inadequate building materials and the design which makes the top heavier than the stem can support, the stem snapped while just repositioning the lamp on his dresser. I tried re-gluing it, but as I said, the top portion is too heavy for the small stem to support and no amount of super glue or any other glue would hold it. Don't buy.
Pokemon Lamp -
This is not a toy, but actually a lamp for a Pokemon lover. He hasn't opened it as yet, but I did. I was very pleased with the quality and the shipping time. Was also in perfect condition. I sent it from CA to MI so hope it gets there safely!

Not bad for what it is -
What can I say about a children's lamp?
In this case, it is two pieces of relatively thick plastic sandwiching a low power light bulb. It seems to be thick enough and strong enough to take some level of abuse from kids throwing a football in the room. And bright enough, without being too bright, for reading and night light use.
Overall, my 9 year old loves it for the moment. Which was the whole intention.
